Flylite ("we", "us") is a flight-deals dashboard. This page explains what data we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Search preferences (origin airport, notice period, continent, minimum temperature, trip length, number of results) — stored locally in your browser only, unless you subscribe to email alerts.
- Email address and preferences — only if you sign up for email alerts. Stored on our server so we can send you matching deals on your chosen schedule.
- Anonymous booking-link clicks — which booking site and destination you clicked through to, and the price shown. No IP address, no browser fingerprint, no account or persistent identifier is attached to this.
- Anonymous site traffic (page views, approximate visitor counts) via Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or track individuals across sites.
We never collect payment details — all bookings happen on the third-party site you're sent to, not on Flylite.
Why we collect it
Solely to run the service: showing you flight deals that match your filters, and — if you opt in — emailing you when new ones match. Anonymous click and traffic data helps us understand which destinations and booking partners are actually useful to people, partly to evaluate future partnerships with those booking sites.
Who we share it with
We use the following third parties to run Flylite. Each only receives what it needs to do its specific job:
- SerpApi — flight search and booking-link data.
- Open-Meteo and Wikipedia — weather and destination information (no personal data sent).
- Resend — delivers alert emails to subscribers.
- Upstash (Redis) — stores subscriber records and cached search results.
- Vercel — hosting and anonymous traffic analytics.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
How long we keep it
Subscriber records are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Anonymous click/traffic data is kept in aggregate and is not tied to an identifiable person.
Your choices
- Every alert email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- You can change your alert filters any time from the dashboard.
- You can ask us to delete your data entirely by emailing the address below.
- Clearing your browser's local storage removes any preferences saved there.
Children
Flylite is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
